Dangal Movie Review
Aamir Khan starrer Dangal (which means Wrestling in English) is now out in theaters. Read our review of the movie, how exciting the movie is.
Mahavir Singh Phogat (Aamir), a failed wrestler from Haryana has two daughters Geeta and Babita. He loses hope of having a son and then decides to train his daughters to be wrestlers , who went on to make history at the commonwealth games and other Championships.
Mahavir does this, as he has a unfulfilled dream. The training includes worst restriction with no mercy. The highlight is when he cuts off their hair.
The film being a biopic, rather than just registering the wins by these girls, shows the difficulties they have faced, and the efforts of their stubborn father who was behind all the victory.
This could be Aamir’s best performance till date. He cries and makes us cry. He gets angry and make us feel it. He looked old but his performance in Dangal is much better than Lagaan which released 15 years ago.
Also Dangal will surely be a talked about one for years and will be used to compare his performances in the future.
Meanwhile, Fatima Sana Shaikh, who takes over the role of grown up Geeta, looks rustic onscreen and steals the entire show along with her onscreen father Aamir. Sanya too is a best find of this year.
Dangal is a film with less drama, but an inspiring story which boasts the girls with rich attitude. It wont be a surprise, if some girls in India took up wrestling after watching this movie.
The film registers the wins by Geeta and Babita, and has also brought partritic emotions in the minds of the viewers.
